Laney Digbeth is a highly regarded bass amplification system that integrates vintage tones with modern versatility, tailored for professional musicians and discerning players seeking a robust and flexible setup.

Inside, the system features a comprehensive signal processing chain:

<li>Stomp section equipped with four pedals, each with adjustable processing order, including a bass-appropriate octave, compressor, distortion, and an additional drive pedal from Aurora DSP offering multiple drive modes.</li>
<li>Cabinet simulation section offers three distinct Laney cabinet models and multiple microphone options, complemented by an external IR loader for further tone customization.</li>
<li>Output section with a full 10-band graphic equalizer and limiter provides precise tone shaping and dynamic control.</li>
<li>Parallel processing architecture allows for flexible routing with adjustable section order, enhancing tonal versatility.</li>
<li>FX rack incorporates essential effects such as EQ, maximizer, and two limiters, all optimized for bass guitar signals.</li>
<li>Preamp channels include selectable FET and TUBE circuits, with the capability to blend both for a broad tonal palette.</li>
<li>The bass dynamics section features a sidechain compressor with adjustable parameters and a crossover network with multiple modes and customizable frequency settings, including optional low-cut and high-cut filters.</li>
<li>A 3-band EQ with four mid-range modes facilitates precise mid-frequency adjustments.</li>
<li>The mammoth processing section ensures extensive sound-shaping capabilities for complex tonal sculpting.</li>
</ul>

The stomp section includes renowned pedals from Black Country Customs: the 85 Bass-Interval octave pedal with dual octaver modes; the Custard Factory compressor with three configurations; and the Blackheath distortion pedal offering two distortion modes plus overdrive. The additional Aurora DSP Gamma Burst Bass-tortion introduces three drive channels with distinct characters.

The amp module is a digital recreation of the iconic 500-watt Digbeth bass head, supplying both FET and TUBE preamp channels that can be mixed. Its tonal controls include a versatile 3-band EQ with four mid-mode options and a TILT control for comprehensive tonal balancing. The system also offers a full suite of modern features:

<li>Tone mixer for sound balancing</li>
<li>External IR loader compatibility</li>
<li>Three dynamic Laney cabinet models: DBV212-4, DBV410-4, and DBV810-4</li>

The FX rack is specifically designed for bass guitar applications, combining high-quality analog modeling and digital processing to deliver punchy and articulate tones. Its key modules include:

<li>10-band graphic EQ with ±12dB gain per band, proportional Q, VU meters, and an integrated vintage saturation drive</li>
<li>Sonic optimizer to enhance low-end clarity, high-end detail, and overall character</li>
<li>Limiter inspired by classic FET compressors featuring fast attack for punchy dynamics</li>
<li>Leveling amplifier modeled after optical tube-based compressors providing warm compression with slow attack/release times</li>
</ul>

The bass dynamics features an adjustable compressor with a filtered sidechain and placement options to better integrate low frequencies. The crossover module offers three modes with adjustable frequency settings alongside full stereo input/output controls. Additional features include noise gate, tuner, metronome, built-in recorder for capturing riffs, cross-platform preset sharing capabilities, and a studio environment mode featuring headphone-specific room simulation.

This system is available in AUv3 plugin format as well as standalone applications, suitable for professional studio setups or live performance environments.
